Running Apache Tomcat on port 80

Steps:

  1. Go to your apache-tomcat root directory
  2. Change directory into the “conf” directory
  3. Open the server.xml file in a text editor
  4. Find the line (line number 70)
    <Connector port="8080" protocol="HTTP/1.1"
     connectionTimeout="20000"
     redirectPort="8443" />
    
    
  5. Change the port attribute to “80”
