Getting your IP Address

Windows

  1. Open a DOS command prompt
  2. type in the command:
    ipconfig /all
  3. Scroll down to the “Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection” section.
  4. Your IP Address is the IPv4 Address

Linux

  1. Open a terminal
  2. type in the command:
    /sbin/ifconfig -a
  3. Under the section “eth0” look under the sub-section “inet”
  4. There will be an addr section next to it. This is you IP Address
